Anna Schofield

Artists Quote: ‘Art gives me freedom to express my feelings and emotions. Blended with strong colours, mixed media textures and suggestive marks I aim to create a positive outcome in a new form.’

Having been drawing and painting since childhood, Anna decided to take a more serious approach to art only recently. After 12 years of working in administration, she made the bold decision to change her profession and transition into a full-time artist. Having completed an art and design course at New College Nottingham, art has since become her primary occupation.

As a self-taught artist, she explores various techniques and enjoys experimenting with different media. These include ink, watercolours, and her favourite, oils. Recently, she has started mixing other media with oils to create more textured and intriguing effects. The journey of transforming an empty, white canvas into a narrative is a source of wonder for her.

Drawn to nature, Anna finds inspiration in landscapes, the sea, beautiful skies, and trees. Also, texture is an integral part of Anna’s work and she enjoys the process of evolving areas. She works mainly with palette knives, but also her fingers and a variety of other implements to create diversity in her mark-making. Although she does also works with the traditional paint brush at time too. These combination of texture, technique, strong colours and a dominant appreciation of light and shadow ensures that Anna’s work is both uplifting and has positive overtones.

Anna lives with the painting for weeks and constantly makes changes and adds detail to make sure she has captured everything she wanted to say.

Anna Ravliuc

Artists Quote: ‘I recharge with colours, I get lost in the canvas while I’m creating. Splashes of energy turn into splashes of colours. In this way, I have a dialogue with the canvas, and in turn, my paintings are talking with their admirers.’

Anna has been painting as far back as she can remember. As a girl, she used to paint with the juice of leaves and flowers on the white walls of her parents’ house. Later, she studied art and learned classical painting techniques, also trying several modern techniques. Now she combines them into her own unique style, which creates amazing results.

Inspired by nature and people, she memorises nature’s changing colours and moods, aiming to capture the moment and stop time. She uses vivid, clean, strong colours, believing they can show the strength of nature and the movement of the human figure. Splashes of energy transform into splashes of colours. She recharges with paints and gets lost in the canvas while creating. She has a dialogue with the canvas, and in turn, her paintings communicate with their admirers.

With almost a hundred international exhibitions, most of which are personal, she has been exhibited throughout Europe, China, and the USA. Remaining optimistic, she continues her career as a fine artist. Her artistic journey began 40 years ago when she studied fine arts and classic Masters. Since then, she has been exhibited in over 100 exhibitions throughout Europe and the USA.

Lucy Moore

Artist Quote: ‘love spending my days wrapped up in my own little dream world painting, for me Art is a necessity, I need to paint’

Lucy has always enjoyed being creative but lacked the confidence to pursue a career as an artist. After receiving numerous nudges from family and friends, she decided to take the plunge, embarking on her artist’s adventure in February 2014.

Utilising her loft as a studio and dedicating every spare moment to experimentation and creation.  In February 2015, Lucy registered with several online galleries. Each painting sold served as a confidence booster, fuelling her daydreams of a full-time artist career.

Since then, she has made significant progress and was able to acquire her own studio. A personal sanctuary nestled in her back garden, Lucy can be found secluded in the studio, crafting original artworks. She draws inspiration from the nature surrounding her. From flourishing meadows to the crashing waves in the ocean, always infusing her own unique twist.

Working freely with abstract forms, Lucy uses colours and textures as guides in her artistic process. Art, for her, is a necessity. A means of capturing the daily swirl of colours and images in her mind onto canvas.

Having sold her work globally, Lucy feels privileged to have reached such a broad audience. Her dream was to transition into a full-time artist and with each painting sold.  She took a step closer to realising this goal, which she achieved in 2018.
