Where did the inspiration come from for this piece?
There are many different types of love in our hearts. We all see love in people and are sometimes fortunate enough to experience it. Not all love is romantic love. Love is beautiful in all its facets and shades. So, for me “Shades Of Your Love” is a desire to express that.
What is the creative process when creating your vibrant abstract art?
I’d have an idea of which colour I want to use and whether I want to paint an abstract or a landscape. That’s about it. I approach a canvas with no particular plan. So, my work is instinctive and spontaneous. It is my mood on canvas. Working on the canvas for several sessions, I create texture and add colour. It’s hard to explain how I know when it’s finished, it just happens.
How long would this work have taken you?
It’s difficult to say because I don’t count time and I usually work on many paintings at the same time. I guess it would be around four weeks, working a few sessions each week, allowing enough drying time in between.
