1.  A World of Private Mystery: John Craxton RA (1922-2009)

Fitzwilliam Museum in Cambridge is exhibiting the work of John Craxton from 3 Dec 2013 to 21 Apr 2014. The artist is known for his eclectic style and his post war travels to the Isles of Scilly, Switzerland, Italy, Istanbul and Spain before moving to Crete in 1970.

2. Allan Ramsay: Portraits of the Enlightenment

This exhibition is running from 13 Sept 2013 to 5 Jan 2014 at the Hunterian Art Gallery in Glasgow. Known for his portrait paintings, Allan Ramsay is one of the best artists from 18th Century.

3. Alan Sorrell: A Life Reconstructed

Sir John Soane’s Museum in London is exhibiting the work of Alan Sorrell from 25 Oct 2013 to 25 Jan 2013. Known as a mural artist, illustrator and war artist, Alan Sorrell is known for his eye for archaeological details.

4. Aquatopia: The Imaginary of the Ocean Deep

Tate St. Ives is holding an art exhibition inspired by the sea, featuring the works of various artists, from JMW Turner to the contemporary artist Steve Clayton. The exhibition opened its doors on 12 Oct 2013 and is on until 26 Jan 2014.

5. Bob Dylan: Face Value

This is your last chance to see this exhibition by the famous musician Bob Dylan at the National Portrait Gallery in London. The exhibition has been running from 24 Aug 2013 and it closes on 5 Jan 2014. It is the first time when pastel portraits by Bob Dylan have been exhibited in a museum in Britain.
