Path To Somewhere Wonderful by Gill Bustamante

Path to Somewhere Wonderful by Gill Bustamante is a “semi abstract original oil painting of a path through a spring bluebell wood. Light shines through the trees which invite the viewer to walk the path and find what they most desire on the other side of the wood”. This is how the artist describes her artwork which makes you want to find out more.

The artwork is a landscape featuring a woodland scene in spring when the bluebells are in bloom. The title invites the viewer to imagine where the path leads to, what lies beyond the woods and what would be that “wonderful place” you’d discover once there. This could vary from person to person, making the artwork and its mystery even more attractive.

Gill Bustamante is an artist and art tutor from Sussex whose main subjects are woodland scenes, trees, landscapes, animals, seascapes, underwater paintings, tropical fish and koi carp. She paints in oil on large canvases in an expressionist style.

“I am not arty, deep, mysterious, messed up, young, ‘emerging’ or remotely likely to get famous – I just like painting. I am inspired by music, cake and practically anything I look at”, says the artist.
