Marja Brown
Artist’s Statement: ‘My art flows into the world like light—bringing peace, beauty, and joy to those it touches’.
Born in Holland, my creative journey began in clay. Working as a potter for 25 years before returning to my first love: painting. Though I studied art formally, it’s through joyful exploration and daily practice that I’ve truly found my voice as an artist.
The rolling hills and ever-changing skies of Dorset continue to inspire me. They offer endless ways to express the landscapes and seascapes I feel so deeply connected to. Each canvas is an invitation to play with texture, colour, and emotion.
Whether large or small, I lose myself in every piece I create. My hope is that each painting brings a sense of peace and joy to those who live with it.
You’ll find my work exhibited in local shows, artisan markets, and online galleries. Beautiful platforms that help connect my art with homes near and far.
Karen Smith
Artist’s statement: ‘Seascapes have been my signature work for many years. I use a limited palette to create a feeling of simplicity and calm. I aim to invoke feelings of peace and take the viewer to a place where they would like to be’.
My passion for creating art comes from within, it is part of who I am and my way of expressing emotion. I am mostly self-taught other than achieving an A level in art. After pursuing a career in IT and then starting a family, I rekindled my love of painting and began to sell my work throughout the UK and abroad. My work has been exhibited at the Ideal Home Show and the NEC Birmingham.
I have a passion for painting peaceful seascapes and dramatic cloudscapes and coastlines. My inspiration is drawn from our beautiful coasts and life’s emotions.

Artist’s Statement: ‘The most wonderful thing about being an artist is expressing nature in beautiful colours and bringing a sense of light and calm to people’s lives’.
I am a contemporary artist producing vibrant colourful and highly textured original paintings.
After studying fine art at Sheffield Hallam University, achieving a B A Hons (1st class) I subsequently lectured in colleges. I now practice full time as an artist from my studio in the Peak District.
Painting is a response to the beautiful landscape around me, the experience of being in the place is an important part of the process. When I paint trees and forest scenes I attempt to capture the ethereal quality of light filtering through the leaves. I hope to impart the sense of peace and meditative calm I feel in these quiet places, whilst conveying an unspoken conversation with nature.

Luisa Timperi
My love for art started at an early age. My mother, a fine art watercolour artist, has always driven and inspired me to be creative. In high school I studied architectural drawing, managing to be top of my class.
At present I am a jurisprudence student in Rome at Sapienza University. During the pandemic I engaged myself in painting daily, interacting with various mediums including watercolours, acrylics and oils. I now dedicate myself fully to painting with oils. I am inspired by my everyday observations of my surroundings and nostalgic themes.
James Shipton
I studied art and then went on to study medical science. My passion for art was reignited whilst studying human anatomy. As a result, I followed my passion and I now produce drawings and oil paintings that utilise my knowledge of the human form.
My art work has been purchased by collectors throughout the World, and I have produced numerous commissions over the years. Most recently my art work has been purchased to appear in the movie “American Assassin”, starring Michael Keaton.
